Registered Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is defined as the assessment of soft tissue and joints of the body, and treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction, injury, pain and disorders of soft tissue and joints of the body by manipulation, mobilization and other manual methods.

What conditions are treated?

Massage therapy can treat a number of different soft tissue and musculoskeletal conditions, varying from general stress release and tension headaches, to more complex issues such as frozen shoulder, whiplash, TMJ dysfunction and chronic low back pain. Other conditions that massage therapy can be beneficial in treating are:

Migraines
Pregnancy related issues
Tendinitis
Arthritis
Strains/sprains
Plantar fasciitis
Anxiety/depression
Sciatica
Thoracic outlet syndrome
Scoliosis

As well as many other soft tissue and joint related dysfunctions.

Certified Usui Master Reiki

An Usui Master Reiki treatment begins with a short consultation to identify focus areas and answer any questions. All treatments are draped and clients have the option of remaining clothed or removed clothing, as they feel the most comfortable. The treatment starts with cleansing the auric field using light breath work, guided meditation and singing bowl sound vibration. Once the space is cleared, the subtle energetic frequencies of Usui Reiki are offered to the client's body through intuitive touch (or without touch, if preferred). The treatment finishes with a final singing bowl cleanse to clear the body of any residual energies that were released during treatment and seal the treatment. The session ends with a short check-in and any notes about aftercare.

Pathweaving

Laura specializes in companioning people through embodied, altered-state journeys. Her holistic approach to journey-work centers your self-directed process. She provides preparation and integration sessions to help you discover intentions beforehand and make sense of it afterwards.
